Oh, hey friends!
Welcome to my little corner of the interweb. I’m Katie, a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist and fitness enthusiast with a serious passion for healthy living, pretty food, and epic salads. The only thing I love more than learning about nutrition is sharing that knowledge with others. I believe we all deserve to understand how the food we eat impacts our digestion, mood, and overall health.
Which is why I’m seriously over-the-moon thrilled to finally share my site with you. It was totally worth the wait, was it not? I mean, sure I’m biased but I think the whole site turned out pretty freaking amazing. As some of you know, I started working on this site—brainstorming, dreaming, and envisioning—last fall.
While I probably could have thrown something together much sooner, it was important for me to be very intentional with every aspect of the site. I am a textbook Type A person, which you probably would have realized sooner than later so best to just put it on the table now. Anyway, I’ve had this lifelong dream of starting a nutrition and healthy lifestyle blog (OK maybe not lifelong since blogs have only been around since 2005 or something) and writing for health-related magazines to spread the truth about healthy eating. That dream included a very specific vision of how my website and blog would look and feel because I truly care about making this space somewhere you all want to visit on the reg.
After all, I did not create this blog for me, I created it for YOU. Seriously.
Oh, and for the record I did not create this website without help. I tried. Really, I did. But HTML and CSS just aren’t my love language, you know? Thus, I strategically outsourced the design and development to the incredibly talented ladies over at The Nectar Collective so I could focus on what I do best: sharing my passion for nutrition and inspiring healthy eating and living. Meanwhile, for the last six-plus months, I have been working hard behind the scenes developing compelling and inspiring content and deliciously healthy recipes that you guys are going to love. And that’s not all folks.
There are many exciting things in the pipeline—1:1 Nutrition Coaching (coming legit soon), mentoring for aspiring nutritionists, fun collaborations and freelance articles, and a free quit sugar challenge and six-week program launching later this fall. I’m super stoked about this last endeavor because as most of you know helping others breakup with sugar is not just near and dear to my heart, it’s MAH JAM (sugar-free obviously). But asking anyone to give up sugar during stone fruit season would be downright cruel—trust me—and I like you guys. A lot.
So go ahead—snoop around, familiarize yourself with all the site’s bells and whistles! Again, this is your space. I hope you love the site as much as I do and find it to be an inspiring place to come for healthy recipes, nutrition advice you can trust, as well as wellness tips. Thank you each from the bottom of my heart for your support over on Instagram and for allowing me to have this new platform to share my passion. I can’t wait to get to know even more of you through this blog (say hello anytime!).
Check back TOMORROW for the official public launch and the first recipe! You don’t want to miss it.
